Shiatsu Cranian Workshop
Cranial Shiatsu is acupressure based on the meridians and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It is an energy treatment that allows us to detoxify, relax and reconnect body and mind.
By reconnecting the mind-body axis through cranial acupressure, we release energy blockages to leave room for profound well-being.
Shiatsu is an energetic and holistic treatment, which consists of pressure on the energy meridians, movement and stretching of the limbs. The objective of Shiatsu is to find the balance between the three fundamental aspects of being: physical, mental and emotional.
Program of the introductory workshop:
This workshop is essentially based on practice, on work from the hara (energy center) and on body awareness.
We will also learn the basic kata – sequence/protocol.
Objective of the workshop:
1) To be able to practice the kata with family and friends. Students will use the maneuvers learned to perform a complete Cranial Shiatsu of about 30 minutes that they can offer to loved ones.
However, this introductory course does not allow the practice of Cranial Shiatsu in a professional manner.
2) To acquire some basic theoretical notions:
History of Shiatsu
Yin and Yang concepts
Qi concept
Work on the stomach, bladder, gallbladder and small intestine meridians
3) To practice:
Learning the kata using one’s hara, one’s energy and not muscle strength.
Learning is done in pairs, after demonstration by the teacher. After observing the demonstration, the student receives, then in turn practices.
Organization of the shiatsu course:
Regular exchanges, feedback of students’ experiences and feelings.
Practical kata work after energy preparation.
Meditation at the end of the session for anchoring and feeling.

This Cranial Shiatsu class will take place on Sunday, November 13, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
